Travelling through the countryside one realises just how dry it has been out in the Central West and country areas but the vistas are still beautiful and full of rich natures pallettes.
An extremely wonderful and fun night with a first prize award for Tree of Man gouache, pen, ink, work mixed media.
Early Days in Gulgong much to my delight and surprise has sold to Holtermann Museum which will officially open on the 26th October 2019. This wonderful museum will highlight the wonderful collection of photographic plates which have documented the history of the area in the 1860s when the gold rush was in full throw and people from all over the world descended on Hill End, Hargraves, Gulgong Sofala and regions in the search for the precious yellow metal.
A wonderful parade through the streets on the Saturday saw Holtermann float win best in the show and once again much to my surprise a win for me as most appropriately dressed person in the parade with vehicle. I was thrilled to be invited to dress up and join the Holtermann Float through the town. People in Australia still love a parade and support their locals so well in Gulgong in so many ways. I was privileged and delighted to be part of it and see people together smiling and having fun.
